Coal for heating

Virovo Promet heating coal is designed for households, businesses, and facilities needing strong, reliable, and long-lasting heat during cold seasons. Compared to firewood, coal provides higher calorific value and longer burn time; compared to briquettes, it reaches higher peak temperatures.

Burn time and temperature:

  • 4–6 hours per batch
  • Peak temperatures: 600–750°C

Advantages:

  • High heat output per kilogram
  • Long-lasting burn
  • Stable performance in stoves, boilers, and furnaces

Disadvantages:

  • Higher emissions than firewood or briquettes
  • Requires proper ventilation and handling
  • Store in a dry, ventilated space

Comparison:

  • Firewood: renewable but burns faster
  • Coal: strongest heat and longest burn
  • Briquettes: cleaner, more uniform, slightly lower peak temperature

Tips:

  • Use chimney or stove starter for quick ignition
  • Avoid overloading stove; allow proper airflow
  • Combine with firewood for fast initial heat
