One hour from Skopje
Wholesale charcoal for Kosovo
Virovo Promet supplies hardwood charcoal and briquettes to Kosovo by pallet, full truck or container, quoted per order. Buyers are restaurants, distributors and retail in Pristina, Prizren, Ferizaj and Gjilan. The Blace / Hani i Elezit crossing is about one hour from Skopje, which makes Kosovo our closest export market and keeps lead times short.
How we deliver to Kosovo
Kosovo is the shortest delivery we make. Trucks leave the Skopje warehouse and reach the Blace / Hani i Elezit crossing in about an hour, then continue to Ferizaj, Pristina, Gjilan or Prizren. Because the distance is short, groupage works well: a restaurant or a shop can take one or two pallets and reorder often instead of holding a large stock.
Distributors take full 13.6 m trucks with about 33 Euro pallets. Transit is short and is confirmed in the quotation together with the loading date. Incoterms are agreed per order, from EXW Skopje, where you can also collect with your own vehicle, to delivered at your address.
Customs and documents for Kosovo
Ask your customs representative to confirm the classification, origin documents and import requirements for the actual goods and destination. Dispatch from Skopje does not, by itself, prove North Macedonian origin or establish a preferential duty rate.
Before ordering, agree the invoice, packing list, transport document and any additional product, traceability or safety documents required for your shipment. The broker and carrier should confirm clearance or transit arrangements and responsibilities before loading.
Who buys from us in Kosovo
Skara in Kosovo means qymyr, and restaurants and hotels in Pristina, Prizren, Ferizaj and Gjilan burn it every day. In the Serbian-speaking areas the same product is asked for as ćumur, and buyers can send their inquiry using the Serbian version of this website. Restaurants with long service hours usually ask for Marabu (indicatively up to around 7 hours of burn, varying by lot); classic skara restaurants often prefer oak or beech lump charcoal.
Distributors supply the restaurant trade and retail shops with lump charcoal and charcoal briquettes in 2, 3, 5 and 10 kg bags, and wood briquettes for heating are asked for in winter. Private-label bags are available on request. The range is subject to availability and includes acacia among others.
What to include in your enquiry
Send the product, the quantity in bags or pallets, the bag size, the delivery address in Kosovo, the Incoterm, the date you want the goods and any private-label need. Because Kosovo is so close, we can often confirm quickly whether the goods are in stock and when they can load. Virovo Promet confirms in writing the availability, the net load, the packaging, the documents for the lot and the terms.
Virovo Promet is a family-owned charcoal wholesaler in Skopje, North Macedonia, founded in 1990, exporting full-container loads of hardwood charcoal across Europe and beyond. From Pristina the Skopje office and warehouse is a short drive, and everyone is welcome Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 16:00 to see the products, buy a single bag as a sample and agree the order in person.
How fast can charcoal reach Pristina from Skopje?
The Blace / Hani i Elezit crossing is about one hour from Skopje, so lead times are short. The loading date and transit are confirmed in the quotation.
Can I collect from Skopje with my own truck?
Yes. EXW Skopje is one of the Incoterm options, and the minimum at the office is a single bag, so you can also pick up a sample.
Do I pay duty in Kosovo on the charcoal?
Under CEFTA, lots that qualify as originating receive preferential treatment. We confirm per lot which origin document can be issued and never promise it in advance.
Can a restaurant order one pallet at a time?
Yes. Delivery usually starts from one pallet, and groupage suits frequent small reorders, which the short distance makes practical.
Do you supply heating briquettes to Kosovo?
Yes. Wood briquettes for stoves and boilers can be quoted with grill charcoal, subject to availability.
