Wholesale charcoal for Bulgaria

Bulgaria is a direct road delivery from Skopje. Trucks cross at Deve Bair–Gyueshevo near Kriva Palanka and continue to Sofia, or at Delchevo–Stanke Lisichkovo, and from Sofia they go on to Plovdiv and to Varna and Burgas on the Black Sea coast. Full 13.6 m trucks carry about 33 Euro pallets; groupage handles a few pallets for a restaurant group or a regional distributor.

Varna and Burgas are ports, so a sea container can be considered for a large order, though road is the usual choice for Bulgaria. Transit is a few days by road and is confirmed in the quotation together with the loading date. Incoterms are agreed per order, from EXW Skopje to delivered at your warehouse.

Ask your customs representative to confirm the classification, origin documents and import requirements for the actual goods and destination. Dispatch from Skopje does not, by itself, prove North Macedonian origin or establish a preferential duty rate.

Before ordering, agree the invoice, packing list, transport document and any additional product, traceability or safety documents required for your shipment. The broker and carrier should confirm clearance or transit arrangements and responsibilities before loading.

Скара and барбекю culture is strong in Bulgaria, and дървени въглища sell through three channels: restaurants, distributors and retail chains. Restaurants with long evening service usually ask for Marabu (indicatively up to around 7 hours of burn, varying by lot); classic скара restaurants often prefer oak or beech lump charcoal. Retail chains in Sofia and Plovdiv take lump charcoal and charcoal briquettes in 2, 3, 5 and 10 kg bags with Bulgarian labels, and the coast around Varna and Burgas adds a summer peak.

Bulgaria is also a heating market: wood briquettes for stoves and boilers are asked for by distributors and retailers ahead of winter, and they can be quoted alongside grill charcoal. Private-label bags are available on request. The range is subject to availability and includes acacia among other types.

List the product, the quantity in bags, pallets or trucks, the bag size, the delivery address in Bulgaria, the Incoterm you prefer, your target date and any private-label requirement. If you buy both grill charcoal and heating briquettes, say so, and we quote them together. Virovo Promet confirms in writing the availability, the net load, the packaging, the documents for the lot and the terms.

Virovo Promet is a family-owned charcoal wholesaler in Skopje, North Macedonia, founded in 1990, exporting full-container loads of hardwood charcoal across Europe and beyond. Sofia to Skopje is a day trip, and everyone is welcome at the office and warehouse Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 16:00; a video call in English is the alternative.
