Wholesale charcoal for the Netherlands

Rotterdam makes the Netherlands a natural container destination. A 20 ft or 40 ft container loads in Skopje, moves to Thessaloniki, about 230 km away, and sails to Rotterdam, where your forwarder collects it or we arrange delivery to your warehouse. Road freight is the alternative: a full 13.6 m truck with about 33 Euro pallets runs through Serbia, Hungary and Austria, then Germany; groupage suits a first order of a few pallets.

Which option fits depends on volume and timing, and we quote both when useful. Transit by road or sea is confirmed in the quotation together with the loading date. Incoterms are agreed per order, from EXW Skopje through FOB Thessaloniki to delivered.

Ask your customs representative to confirm the classification, origin documents and import requirements for the actual goods and destination. Dispatch from Skopje does not, by itself, prove North Macedonian origin or establish a preferential duty rate.

Before ordering, agree the invoice, packing list, transport document and any additional product, traceability or safety documents required for your shipment. The broker and carrier should confirm clearance or transit arrangements and responsibilities before loading.

Dutch buyers are importers first. Distributors in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Utrecht bring in houtskool by the container and re-export across Belgium, Luxembourg and beyond, so they ask for consistent bag sizes, multilingual labels and a private-label option that works in several markets. Retail chains stock lump charcoal and charcoal briquettes for the barbecue season in 2 to 10 kg bags, with briquettes chosen for even, predictable heat.

Restaurants and steakhouses ask for Marabu when service runs late (indicatively up to around 7 hours of burn, varying by lot) and for oak or beech for classic grilling. Everything is dealt with in English, from the first enquiry to the loading documents. The range is subject to availability and includes acacia among other types.

Send the product, the quantity in pallets, trucks or containers, the bag size, the delivery point in the Netherlands or the port, the Incoterm you prefer, your target date and the labelling or private-label requirements for the markets you re-export to.
